by babacon August 2, 2007 4:06 PM PDT: It's interesting that Lenovo had record earnings however, I wonder if they will stick. Let me relay a true (and documented) story. I ordered a T61 back in early June. Problems with their order management system force a re-booking of many orders and significant delays from comitted delivery dates. After watching my order numbers change multiple times, and delivery dates slip, I cancelled the order 7/5. Dispite this cancellation, a T61 showed up at my office on 7/27. Now rather than a sell, the have a retun. I'm reading about many others who similarly canceled orders only to have them ship weeks later. It's well documented on Lenovo's own blog - http://lenovoblogs.com/insidethebox/?p=84

The real question is, how many returns are being generated by the order management system and how much of their earnings will be erased due to improperly shipped orders? Is the faulty order management system causing other potential errors or exposure to their revenue accounting?; Reply to this comment
